According to the CBS, more than 2.3 billion cigars were exported to over 100
countries in 2007. The major destinations for Dutch exports were located within
the EU: some 83% of the total Dutch exports were "exported" to countries
within the European Union! The leading export destinations were:
France (722 million pieces), followed by Belgium, Spain and the United Kingdom
(all approximately 230 million pieces). The following table shows the
Dutch exports of cigars in the years 2005 - 2007.
